The Name, The Meaning
Every meaningful thing begins with a word. Ours began with two.
Hasta — the hand. Kalpa — the sacred wish. Two words that found each other quietly, naturally, with complete certainty.
Together they became Hastakalpa — a name that carries within it everything we believe. That every creation holds an intention, that every home deserves something sacred, and that the most beautiful things in life are not made, but manifested.
How it began
It began with one tree.
A single Kalpavriksha — created with stillness, placed with intention on the wall of a home in Mumbai. Not as decoration. As a wish. As a quiet prayer for the space it now called home.
That first piece — numbered #1 — still lives there today. In the home where Hastakalpa was born.
From that one creation, everything followed. A vision took shape — to bring sacred Indian art into modern Indian homes. Not as religious objects. Not as generic prints.
